Jason Scott Ash, 51, of Edgewood Avenue, Clarksburg, WV, entered into the waiting, loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 30, 2026, following a 4-year journey with glioblastoma brain cancer. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on November 10, 1974, the son of the late Roy Lee and Shirley Jean (Elliott) Ash.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Heather (Holbert) Ash (his high school sweetheart), whom he married on June 29, 1996.
Also surviving are his children, whom he loved deeply and who love him to the moon and back, Abby of Nutter Fort, Daniel of White Hall, Samantha, Noah, Josiah, Charity, Alatheia, Zephaniah, Benaiah, and Gavin Andrew; his brother, Patrick Ash and his wife Diane; his father and mother-in-law, Harry “Buzzy” and Martha Holbert of Enterprise.
He is also survived by his half-sister, Linda Hedrick and her husband Larry; his half-brothers, Doug Ash and his wife Ellen; Tim Ash; Rusty Bates; sister-in-law Brenda, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Emily Nicole Ash, on January 6, 2025. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janet Bland; brother, Bruce Ash; sister-in-law Maxine Ash.
Jason was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1993 and attended classes at Fairmont State.
He was a member and deacon of Saltwell Road Church where he faithfully attended for over 35 years. He loved his church family very much and enjoyed doing things around the church to bless others.
Jason served 6 years in the US Army National Guard 119th Engineers in Clarksburg, WV.
After many years of various jobs and gaining various skills, Jason became the owner/operator of WBF Maintenance, LLC for 14 years until his health made it too difficult to continue. He loved all things landscaping; designing, planting and maintaining beautiful landscape areas.
Jason loved photography. His favorite subjects were his family, sunsets & sunrises, waterfalls, beachscapes and landscapes. Last summer he biked many miles and saw many sights with his sons and friends from church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and passed those loves onto his children. He enjoyed taking trips and seeing new sights with his family.
Jason enjoyed volunteering with his family at Sharpe Hospital and Camp Nathanael.

Friends will be received at Saltwell Road Church, 5079 Saltwell Road, Bridgeport, WV on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 2-8pm, where services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026, with Pastor Steve Henry presiding. Interment will follow in Shinn’s Run Cemetery, Saltwell Road.
