Hobert Lafe Hundley, 83, of Brushy Fork Community, Bridgeport, passed away at his residence Monday evening, July 27,2026. He was born June 29, 1943 in Vermont, to the late John and Margie (Webb) Hundley.
He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Wright, of Bridgeport; Twin granddaughters, Cadence and Carigan Hayes. Rebecca (Chip) Horn, of Lancaster, PA and grandsons, Owen and Roarke; His brothers, John (Connie) Hundley of Genoa, WV, Harold (Lana) Hundley, of Lavalette, WV, and Curtis (Myrtle), of St. Albans, WV and his brother-in-law, Monvil Pilbeam, of Medway, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia Hundley; his sister, Susie Pilbeam; and step mother, Pauline Hundley.
Hobert was a retired 798 union pipeline welder. He enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles and spending his time in Petersburg, WV.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave, Bridgeport, on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1 to 3 pm.
Private family burial will take place at Endicott cemetery, Wayne County, WV.
