Richard Allen “Dick” Goodwin, 63, of Gypsy, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. He was born on December 13, 1962, a son of the late Oral and Ellen Davis Goodwin.
Dick is survived by his longtime companion of 36 years, Debra Kay Quinn; children: Julia Crites and husband John of East View, Lisa Vanderhoff of Gypsy, Stacy Yeager and companion Ronnie Vanderhoff of Hepzibah, Terri Nestor of Shinnston, Jessica Tetrick of Saltwell, Abigail Nestor and companion Tyler of Gypsy, Jerry Nestor of Gypsy, and Xavier Norris of Gypsy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Mike Goodwin and companion Mary of Gypsy, Jack Goodwin and companion Tonra of Lamberts Run, and Scott Goodwin and wife Julie of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Allen Goodwin; grandson Aaron Joseph Scott Vanderhoff; son-in-law Brian Scott Vanderhoff; and siblings Ed Davis, Theda Rose Adams, Butch Swisher, Steve Goodwin, and Gary Davis.
Dick was employed as a sandblaster with Repair King. He liked to ride his 4-wheelers and party with his friends.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4 pm until 8 pm.
