Eleanor Stout, 93, of Lost Creek, passed away Thursday evening, August 27, 2026, in the Bridgeport Healthcare Center. She was born on September 18, 1932, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Mike and Catherine (Ryznar) Horina.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ona Martin Stout, on July 28, 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ann Stout of Bridgeport; grandson, Joe Shuttleworth and his wife Kellee; two great-grandsons, Jacob Martin Shuttleworth and Matthew Steven Shuttleworth, all of Lost Creek; and her beloved yorkie, Jenny; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Roshitsh and Lily Circella; and two brothers, Fred and Jimmy Horina.
Eleanor loved gardening and working on her farm. She also enjoyed bird watching, cooking and canning, sewing, square dancing, and raising dogs and chickens. She enjoyed her daily “Happy Hour”, loved her visits with the neighbors, and spoiling her great-grandsons.
Eleanor’s wish for cremation was honored and she will be buried on the family farm.
