Mary Virginia Phillips, 74, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at United Hospital Center. She was born April 3, 1952 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Stanley Kawskay and Mary Catherine Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Phillips, who died June 13, 2023.
Mary is survived by her sister, Donna Rector of Lorain, OH; and her brother, Mike Kawskay of Ravenna, OH; her children, David Phillips and his wife Robecca of Clarksburg; Donald Benjamin Phillips and his wife Willa of Clarksburg; Laura Boggess and her husband Jeff of Teays Valley; and Christine Freeman and her husband Brady of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Brittany Phillips Meadows and husband Roy; Michael Phillips and wife Callie; Kameron Langston; Lexi Freeman; Bayley Freeman; Teddy Boggess; and Jeffrey Boggess; as well as several great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her infant sister, Karen Ann Kawskay.
Mary enjoyed sewing and was an avid quilter. She also enjoyed computer games and playing scratch off tickets.
