William “Bill” Price, 85, of Mount Clare, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026.
Bill retired from Mylan after many years of dedicated service. He was known for his quick wit and his ability to make everyone laugh. He often passed candy down the conveyor, a tradition that perfectly captured his playful personality and the joy he brought to those around him. Bill always had a smile on his face and took great pride in his bright blue eyes and the fact that he never looked his age.
Bill loved spending time on the golf course at Bel Meadows Golf Club, where he enjoyed the game just as much as the friendships and laughter. He had a gift for making people smile, and his stories and jokes will be remembered for years to come.
Bill treasured the lifelong friendship he shared with his cousin and best friend, James “Jimmy Joe” Cava. Through every season of life, their bond was built on laughter, loyalty, and countless cherished memories.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Chilton “Buster” and Mary Price; his beloved sister, Rebecca “Becky” Price; his beloved son, Michael, whom he missed every day; and several aunts and cousins.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharon; his son, Billy Price; his daughter, Kara Langley (Sean); his daughter, Jami Young (Lane); his grandchildren, Grace, Isaiah, Kinsley, Christian, Monica, and David Michael; and several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Sharon’s children and grandchildren for the love, kindness, respect, and care they showed Bill throughout the years.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday, August 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Walt Jagela presiding. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, where Bill will be laid to rest alongside his parents and beloved sister, just as he wished.
Bill will be remembered for the laughter he shared and the playful spirit that made life a little brighter for everyone around him. His smile and sense of humor will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
