Ernest Donald Scheuvront, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at WVU Hospitals Ruby Memorial in Morgantown. He was born in Clarksburg, May 14, 1945, a son of the late Terry Leroy and Flossie Mae Kelly Scheuvront.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Jeanette McKinney Scheuvront whom he married, July 31, 2011; their children, Abigail Carder and April Johnston, Clarksburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara S. Scheuvront; and survived by their children: Stephen Scheuvront and his wife Linda, Good Hope, Karen Weekley and her husband James, Good Hope, Sherry McClain and her husband Brandon, Worthington, Christie Barth and her husband Glen, NC, Jeremiah “Jamie” Scheuvront and his wife Tasha, Boothsville, Phillip Scheuvront and his companion Shirley Potts, Clarksburg; his daughter-in-law, Adena Scheuvront, Philippi, 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Ray Sheuvront and his wife Barbara, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Ernest was also preceded in death by two children, Donald Scheuvront, and Ernest Lee Scheuvront; and three grandchildren, Spencer Selmon, Aaron Sheuvront, and Sean Scheuvront.
Ernest was a truck driver for many years having been employed with H&W Trucking. He enjoyed playing guitar, farming, and loved tractors, and cutting grass. He was a Hank Williams, Sr. and Carl Story fan and a member of the Old Time Baptist Church in Clarksburg.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm, Monday, July 13, with Pastor Leonard Ludwick officiating. Interment will be in the Randolph Cemetery in West Union.
