Kimberly Ann McClain, 66, of Mount Clare, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Kim was born in Clarksburg on August 1, 1959, the youngest daughter of the late James Roscoe Bailey and Nina Belle (Hutson) Bailey.
Kim is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Kyle Bartlett.
Kim is also survived by her son, James “JD” McClain and wife Kristy McClain; her two treasured granddaughters Nina Grace and Scarlett Rose McClain; sisters, Debbie DeMoss and husband Randy, Annette Bailey, and Marilyn Blosser and husband Jake. Kim is also survived by nieces Amber Childress, Abby Blosser, Sarah Blosser, and Mandi Carter, as well as nephews James Blosser and Travis DeMoss.
Kim graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1977. Kim had a varied early work career, before joining Harry Green Chevrolet. She worked there for over 30 years, most of those coming as the office manager. Kim was extremely proud of the culture she helped to build and the legacy of hard work she leaves behind.
Kim’s greatest legacy, though, is to those who knew and loved her most. She was cherished by her friends and family for who she was: a fiercely loyal friend, a loving grandmother, a tirelessly supportive mother, and a devoted wife. She will be remembered and celebrated by those who knew her best for as long as they continue on in this world.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Kim’s honor to the Down Syndrome Network of West Virginia at http://dsnwv.org.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday, July 13, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with Pastor Rick Owens presiding. Interment will follow in K of P Cemetery, Salem.
