Robert L. Trippett, 73, of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday evening, June 25, 2026, in the United Hospital Center. He was born on August 16, 1952, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Howard Trippett and Dorothy Sedars Trippett.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Trippett; his son, Craig Trippett and his wife Emily; his brother, James (Jim) Trippett and his wife Lynda, and their granddaughter, Jameson; Nieces and nephews, David Ross, Susan Ross, Kathy Trippett Trulove, Steve Trippett, Mark Trippett, Keith Trippett, Kevin Trippett, and Tyler Trippett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Trippett; sister-in-law, Sylvia Trippett; sister, Geraldine Trippett Ross; brother-in-law, Roger Ross; his nephew, Greg Ross; and his niece, Kristin Trippett.
Robert was a graduate of Bridgeport High School. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and the simple things in life, such as mowing his lawn and relaxing on the porch. He also loved to watch the trail cameras at Shavers Fork.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2026, from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 6 p.m.
