Kyle Alexander Stewart, 62, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at River Oaks Healthcare Center. He was born in Marietta, OH on December 10, 1963, a son of the late Ronald Alexander Stewart and Helen Catherine Riley Stewart, who survives in Vienna.
Kyle is survived by his children, Derrick Stewart and his wife Tanya, of Bridgeport, and Bethany Stewart of Kentucky; his brothers, Mark Stewart and his wife Erlinda, of Williamstown; and Gary Stewart and his wife Shauna, of Bridgeville, PA; grandchildren, Thomson “Alex” Stewart and Addalynne Stewart; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Eric Stewart.
Kyle was a graduate of Lincoln High school, Class of 1981. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS John F. Kennedy as an Electricians Mate. In 1992, he became a graduate of Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK and went on to become a United Methodist Church Minister. He later graduated from Fairmont State University with a Liberal Arts Degree before continuing his education at the WVU School of Arts for a Masters in Theater Design and Technology. Since 2002, he worked at WBOY as a Master Control Operator.
Kyle enjoyed reading Science Fiction, comic books, and watching Star Trek, Dr. Who, Star Wars and many other Sci-Fi shows and movies. He also enjoyed playing trumpet in band and attending live theatre performances. He attended Bible Study, and he loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events and performances.
