Harold Evan Stewart, 90 passed away on May 7, 2026, at United Hospital Center. He was the son of Dorothy and Harold C. Stewart.

Harold was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud great grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for family and friends will be greatly remembered.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Dorothy Jean Stewart, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories; two daughters, Donna Hall and husband Dana, Diana Hoskinson and husband Carlton “Sonny”. He was a proud and active grandfather to four grandchildren and their families, Lyndon Evan Hall and wife Samantha, Abigail Lister and husband JD, Kelsey Ryan and husband Lunden, Logan Hoskinson and wife Kalee, and his cherished great grandchildren, Aela, Iris, Beckham, McCartney, Henley, Emmy, and Evans.

In addition to his parents, his brothers Jerry and Jim Stewart preceded him in death. He is also survived by two sister-in-law’s, Penny Stewart of Cumberland, Maryland and Johanna Stewart of Morgantown.

Harold proudly served in the Army Reserve, worked as a superintendent at the former Centurial Products, and later retired from White Electric. He was a dedicated member of Broad Oaks Church where he faithfully served as choir director for many years and then later, United Methodist Temple. He also loved lifting his voice in praise while singing with the Beulah Land Express Gospel Quartet. Harold’s faith in the Lord guided his life and was evident in the kindness, warmth, and encouragement he shared with others.

A proud member of the WVU Marching Band, Harold remained a lifelong fan of the Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, music, gardening, laughter, and time with his friends.

Above all, Harold treasured times with his family. His legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the United Methodist Temple Church, P.O. Box 990 Clarksburg, WV 26301, or to specifically the churches organization, “Friends Feeding Friends”.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday from 3 – 7 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 with Pastor Sarah Allen presiding. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
