Michael “Mike” Blaniar, 67, of Lumberport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his home. Mike was born, September 29, 1958, to the late Ethel Stout Ayers.
Surviving are one son, Joshua Blaniar and his fiancée Cassie, of Parkersburg; one daughter, Shauna Stewart and her husband Jeff, of Clarksburg; his sisters, Debbie Hood (Donnie), Lumberport, Linda Lapoe, OH; brothers, Clarence “Vint” Ayers, Lumberport, and Roger Blaniar of Shinnston; several nieces and nephews; and a special nephew and his best buddy, Brian Hood of Shinnston.
In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by his sisters, Paulette Audia, Janet Dawson, and Mary Ayers; and his brothers Ronald Blaniar and Rick Blaniar.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home, Shinnston. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Blaniar family.
