Bob Crites, 84, of Shinnston, passed away on March 22, 2026 at United Hospital Center. He was born on October 12, 1941, a son to the late Andrew Crites and Bessie Layfield Crites. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Heidimarie Bauer Crites; brother Andrew Crites Jr.; sister Mabel Hardman; and mother-in-law Erica Bauer.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra “Sandy” Anthony, and Robin Johnson, both of FL; grandchildren Robert Anthony of TX; and Taylor Johnson and Ashley Johnson of FL; and his beloved Shih Tzu, Bailey.
Bob served in the US Army from 1958-1965, worked for Steel Mills in Ohio from 1969-1971, and finished his career as a Coal Miner with Consol from 1972-1995.
He enjoyed going to Green Hills Country Club as golfing was his love. He also enjoyed watching westerns, WWE Wrestling, and spending time at Casey’s with special friends Rose Scolapio, Liz and Jimmy Scudere all of Shinnston, and all of the extended Casey’s family, and many other family members around the country.

Bob will be missed immensely and is loved by all.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated.
