Jacquita Ann Book.

As a candle’s flame extinguishes without a sound, so too has the light and life of a beautiful woman.

Jackie Book is now at rest in the presence of The Lord. On Friday, March 13th, she found her redemption in the blood of Jesus Christ by grace, with merely a mustard seed of faith moving the mountain between here and eternity.

The second of three daughters born to the union of the late Tom and Delores West, Jackie was born on December 1, 1961 and her childhood was spent being surrounded by love and care.

At the young age of 16, she met and fell in love with Tim Book and in very short order the two of them would be united in marriage and begin a love story that would span 43 years until Tim’s death in 2021. Their story, like all real ones or at-least any one worth telling, found no shortage of excitement, hardship, peaks and valleys, laughter and tears. The constant forever being a commitment to one another and a friendship tried by fire.

Jackie was a mother to two children, TJ and Libby, and the entirety of her being was consumed by their childhoods. She gave all to their intellectual development and gave more to their emotional support. As her children grew, she expanded her horizons to include the art of hairstyle and cosmetology and for 30 years she taught that same art form to a countless number of students as a certified master instructor at the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. All the while never once neglecting the commitment to her family.

Her children through their marriages and within the pages of their own love stories honored her with 6 grandchildren; Halle, Haven, Harlow, Henna, Mazi and Walker were and will remain the highlight of Jackie’s time. She loved them all with much enthusiasm and delicate care. She loved them as she loved her husband and her children… she loved them wild and free.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Jackie was preceded in death by her dear daughter-in-law, Amanda Book. She is survived by her aforementioned children, son-in-law Donnie Stonebreaker and her grandchildren, as well as her two sisters; Tammy Heldreth and Lisa Riffle and their respective families.

Pursuant to Jackie’s wishes, her body will be cremated with the dust given back to the earth and there will be no services. Instead, find your favorite memory of her and spend time with the smile that it brings.
