Lloyd Igleheart, Sr., 85, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1940 in Akron, OH, a son of the late Renus Wells Igleheart and Nellie Taylor Igleheart.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Evelyn Slonaker Igleheart whom he married
Also surviving are one son, James Igleheart of Bridgeport; one daughter, Lee Ann Igleheart of Malvern, OH; two grandsons, Craig and Christopher Olander of Malver, OH; 8 great-grandchildren, Kaitlan, Casper, Cloud, Olindy, Ryan, Riley, Owen, and Stormie all of Malvern, OH; one brother, Louis Igleheart of Akron, OH and one sister, Sandra Alameda of Youngstown, OH.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald and Gene Keirns and Joseph Igleheart; one sister, Ann Rawling and a granddaughter, Shanon Olander.
Lloyd graduated from Springfield Township High School in Akron, OH and served in the US Navy. Lloyd retired as a fingerprint examiner with the FBI after 10 years of service.
Lloyd was a member of the Lodgeville Baptist Church where he served as assistant pastor until he resigned due to heath issues.
He was a loving, giving person and will be greatly missed. Lloyd and Evelyn were blessed with 58 years of marriage, their children and wonderful family and friends.

Friends and family will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport from 2 to 7 pm, Sunday, March 8, 2026. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2026 with Rev. Donita Huffman presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
