Lonnie Hill, 71, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born in Fairmont on March 14, 1954, a son of the late Charles Ryan and Nan Alvin (Greathouse) Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Diana “Barney” (Fox) Hill, whom he met on April 1, 1979 at the Anything Floats Day at Seneca Rocks, and they were married March 14, 1988.
Also surviving are his children, Lonnie Hill, Jr. of Bridgeport; Lacey Hill of Shinnston; Daniel Hill and his wife Sarah of Bridgeport; Zach Hill of Shinnston; Kolby Hill and his wife Ashton of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Stevie, Lonnie, Kolten, Diana, Lynnlee, Oaklynn, and Brantley; his sister, Rebecca Quickle of Fairmont; his nephew, Stephen Hostutler of Fairmont; and all his beloved critters and pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jedi Hill.
Lonnie graduated from Shinnston High School in 1973. He was a retired Construction and Iron Worker with United Mine Worker’s Union.
He had a love of old cars and animals. Above all, he loved his family.
