Mary Ann Winkler, 71, of Haywood, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born March 10, 1954 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Regina Marie Bunnel and Charles Junior Stout.
She was a 1972 graduate of Victory High School and was manager of Goodwill in Bridgeport. She was Baptist by faith, enjoyed flower gardening and baking. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, David C Winkler, whom she married April 5, 1975; her children, David C. Winkler, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Lytle, TX and Machelle McKee and husband Matt of Weston; her grandchildren: Kebrina Olivo and John, Brandyn Winkler and Brittany, Bryce Winkler, Dylan Winkler, Madison Watkins, Emma Watkins, Caleb McKee, and Wyatt McKee; her great-grandchildren, Adelynn Menges, Parker Olivo, Levi McKee, and Violet Winkler on the way; her sister, Patty Sponaugle; her brother, John Stout; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charles “Chuck” Stout; Robert “Bobby” Stout; Jeff Stout; and Terrance Stout who died in infancy.
Friends will be received at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike Street, Shinnston on Monday, 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Perine officiating.
