Deborah J. Nuzum, 71, of Lost Creek, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2026, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on December 13, 1954, a daughter of the late Edward B. McClain and Dortha (Harris) Hamilton.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Nuzum, whom she married April 12, 1986.
Also surviving are three children, Jamie Nutter (Mike) of Weston; and their children, Anthony Weaver; Marshall Woodall and Eisa Woodall; Daniel Nuzum (Emily) and their children, Adria and Audrey, of West Milford; and David Nuzum of Weston; her brothers, Richard McClain (Linda Martin) of Lost Creek; Jeff Hamilton of Spotsville, VA; and Danny Hamilton of Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Covert.
Debbie was the co-owner of Bed & Biscuits Country Boarding Kennel. She was also one of the first breeders of Shar-Pei in this area. Debbie loved music, gardening, crafting, loved animals, and loved sitting on the porch of her farm and just watching nature.
Debbie had also worked for Jim Reid’s restaurant and several other top restaurants in the area. She was also a cook for Harrison County Schools before becoming self-employed.
She will be dearly missed by her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
