Gail Wayne See, a beloved son, partner, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Salem, West Virginia, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the age of 54. He was born on December 26, 1971, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Dale and Shelby “Sally” See, who preceded him in death.

Gail’s life was characterized by his unwavering warmth, infectious laughter, and a deeply ingrained kindness that touched everyone he met. He was known for his remarkable ability to tell funny family stories that brought joy to gatherings, always ready with a smile and a kind word about others. A true friend to many, Gail was always willing to lend a helping hand, embodying the spirit of generosity and support.

He is survived by his partner, Sherry, Additionally, he leaves behind his brother Dale See Jr. and wife Tammy of Salem; his sister Donna Oldaker and husband Harold of Clarksburg; and his sister Joyce Perine of Bridgeport; two nephews and three nieces, John See and wife Katrina; Jennifer Barker and husband Matthew; Joseph and late wife Cheriee; Amber Oldaker; Erica Pignanelli and husband William, and several great nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished the memories they created together.

Gail was a passionate individual with a love for four-wheelers and truck driving, reflecting his adventurous spirit. He has worked for Panhandle Oilfield Services for the last sixteen years. His devotion to dogs was evident, as they held a special place in his heart, and he treated each one as a cherished member of his family.

As we remember Gail Wayne See, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he cared for. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, WV, on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert Marino presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
