George Lee Carothers, Jr., 59, of Shinnston, passed away on December 30, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 11, 1966, a son of Frances Rose Murray Carothers, of Lumberport, and the late George Lee Carothers, Sr.
Surviving are two children, Tiffany Carothers, Boothsville, George L. Carothers, III, Adamston; two grandchildren, Krista Chipps and William Chipps, III, his siblings, Linda Brooks, Cunningham Run, Maryan Scott, Cunningham Run, Dorreen Fessenden and her husband Scott, TN, and Alyson Benson and her husband Mark, Bridgeport; his companion, Heather Spry, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Thomas Carothers.
George was a truck driver for several different companies over his career. He was always being funny, laughing, and giggling to make everyone’s day brighter.
